Echo Park Neighborhood Council's Homelessness Committee
Open to everyone. The committee focuses on an array of homelessness issues and advocacy for supportive services in Echo Park.
When: Second Monday of every month at 7 p.m.
Where: Echo Park United Methodist Church (1226 N. Alvarado Street, Los Angeles, CA 90026). Meetings are held in the basement. Enter through the gate to the parking lot. The door is propped open with an orange cone.

SELAH Neighborhood Homelessness Coalition
A volunteer run non-profit made up of local residents serving the Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater Village, East Hollywood, Glassell Park and Cypress Park area. They focus on outreach, engagement and advocacy work in support of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Volunteer for their engagement days.
The Source, Edendale Library
The LA Public Library Edendale Branch hosts a monthly event, the Source, which provides resources and services to help people experiencing homelessness transition to independent and supported living. They offer referrals to emergency homeless shelter, veteran-specific services, mental health services, Medi-cal/CalFresh enrollment, CES housing assessment, vouchers to obtain birth certificates, and free lunch.
Volunteer for the Source the third Thursday of every month 12 - 3 p.m.
The Burrito Project
A group of friends who meet monthly to commune with one another and share quality food with the disenfranchised people of Los Angeles.
Participate in a Burrito Project event near you
